How to Activate Data Saver on Instagram For Android Devices
Instagram is a mobile application owned By Mark Zuckerberg the
application is designed to share pictures and stories to the world. Instagram famously
called “The Gram” is one of the most used applications in the world. Over 6.7bilion
downloads but over the years users of
the Instagram application complain that the application uses a large chunk of
data due to the high resolution videos playing quality and photos .
The owner of the application has added a new feature to the newest
version of the Instagram app for android users called “Data Saver”. This feature
will help to minimize the data used by the application.
The Data Sever “feature”
is currently only available on all Android devices. iOS users should expect the
feature to be available to them anytime soon.
HOW TO ENABLE DATA SAVING MODE ON INSTAGRAM
For this feature to work on your smartphone device you have to follow the procedures listed below.
- Update your Instagram application from the google playstore to the latest version Update Here>> Update Instagram
- Click on the Profile tab
- Click on your Settings tab.
- Click on Account > Cellular Data Use
- Under Use Less Data, toggle on Data Saver.

Other than this procedure you can also select if you want Instagram to display High resolution videos and photos on your Android device. To do this,
- Click on any High Resolution Media that displays when you open the application
- Click on any of the following options:
- Never: Instagram will never you show you high resolution media.
- WiFi Only: Instagram will only show you high resolution media if your device is connected to WiFi.
- Cellular + WiFi: Instagram will show you high resolution media when your device is connected to either cellular data or WiFi.
After using any of the procedure above you can now enjoy
more surfing time on Instagram without worrying about your data.
