How to Activate Fingerprint Lock on WhatsApp for Android and iOS Devices

For over one year WhatsApp has been getting to introduce Fingerprint authentication to Android and iOS users, finally it's now available for all Android users. Although it has been available for WhatsApp Beta testers for quite some months now. This feature was earlier extended to iPhone users in February 2019, after being announced late last year 2018. And now it's officially available for everybody to activate. WhatsApp Fingerprint feature has been designed to feature extra security measures to your private chats and your WhatsApp account as an entire. If you activate this feature, it'll require fingerprint authentication before you'll be able to have access to your WhatsApp application. Kindly note that widget content are hidden if you activate this feature. Although you'll be able to still answer WhatsApp calls and reply to messages from notifications since the authentication of the fingerprint is just required after you want to open the app. 

How To Enable Whatsapp Fingerprint On all Andriod Devices  

  1. First of all, update your WhatsApp application to the newest version on Play store >> Update Whatsapp  
  2. once its installed, Verify and setup your account  
  3. Now Click on Settings > Account > Privacy. 
  4. You will find Fingerprint lock there. Turn on ‘Unlock with fingerprint’ choice to enable the feature. Confirm it by touching the fingerprint sensor. 

How Do I Activate Whatsapp Face Or Touch ID On My iOS 

Should I say this feature is nearly just like WhatsApp Android fingerprint security? It's quite similar though. This feature has been designed to stop unauthorized access to your Chats conversations. According to the patch notes for the iOS app, users can now require Face ID or Touch ID authentication to unlock the WhatsApp application. Just like the Android version, once you enable Face or Touch ID feature, your Whatsapp application are going to be completely protected. this may prevent anyone else from gaining access to your Chats. 

How To Enable Whatsapp Fingerprint On all IOS Devices  

    1. This option are often accessed by 
    2. visiting your Whatsapp Settings 
    3. Click on the Account Option  
    4. once done Click on Privacy, 
    5. Then enable the Screen Lock feature from there. 

    Enabling this feature will provide you with extra layer of preventing your Whatsapp conversations from authorized access even when your phone is unlocked. This feature is now available for all iOS users because it was first launched for iOS beta users last week.
